Adidas has sued world sports giant Nike this week for allegedly mimicking their similar technology used on shoes as well as their applications. The suit was filed in Texas by Adidas. Among the allegations are that Nike’s Run Club, Training Club, and SNKRS smartphone apps infringe on Adidas ’intellectual property.
The Adapt system used by Nike on smart shoes is also allegedly imitated from Adidas who have been developing their own smart shoes since 2004. Adidas withheld compensation payments for the use of their intellectual property over the years by Nike.
