Apple today officially ushered in a new era of Apple Silicon chips by introducing their second generation chip for the Mac, the Apple M2.
The Apple M2 is said to offer 18% processing power, in addition to the GPU support around 35% more powerful than the previous Apple M1 chip. This new chip comes with a 5nm design.
Apple says they are focusing on efficient power consumption and at the same time good performance through Apple Silicon. With this focus, they managed to come up with a chip that is more power efficient compared to various other chips on laptops.
The first device to use the Apple M2 chip is the new MacBook Air which was also introduced at today's WWDC event.
