AT&T Becomes First To Achieve 20Gbps Symmetrical Speed On Fiber Networks

 

AT&T, a telecommunications company in the United States has now managed to record symmetrical speeds for downloads and uploads, up to 20Gbps.

AT&T set this new record on a staging network and not just in a lab or test network. AT&T managed to record this speed of 20Gbps through a combination of 25GS-PON with XGS-PON.

For now, AT&T has yet to share when commercial offerings will begin for this 20Gbps fiber network.
