Black Shark has now introduced two of their smartphones for the local market, namely the Black Shark 5 and also the Black Shark 5 Pro. Both of these phones focus on the first, and come with specific optimizations-in addition to a number of high specs for it.
The difference between the two is in terms of chip specifications. The Black Shark 5 is powered by a Snapdragon 870 chip, while the Black Shark 5 Pro is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
In addition, the Black Shark 5’s main camera is a 64-megapixel camera, while the Black Shaark 5 Pro carries a 108-megapixel main camera on the back.
Other than that, the specifications are more or less the same. Both come with a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 144Hz, a 4650mAh battery with 120W fast charging, and even a 16-megapixel front camera.
Both also come with support for a pop-up magnetic first-aid, in addition to including custom optimizations through the JoyUI 13 interface.
In Malaysia, the Black Shark 5 is priced at RM2299 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB models, while the 12GB RAM and 256GB models are priced at RM2699.
For the Black Shark 5 Pro, it is offered at a starting price of RM3699 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model, while the 16GB and 256GB storage model is priced at RM3999.
