Last week, we reported that AMD was seen showcasing a new series of powerful processing chips to rival Intel Alder Lake's offering of processing chips for laptops.
Recently, details on the two series of processing chips, namely Dragon Range and Phoenix Point have been leaked, with a computer component YouTube site, Red Gaming Tech saying the two series of processing chips will feature four CPU models when they launch.
Starting with the Dragon Range, this series of processing chips is said to rival the Intel Alder Lake HX series of processing chips that will be shown on powerful premium, gaming and productivity class laptops.
It is also seen as an AMD Ryzen 7000 series of processing chips for the desktop class redesigned to fit into a powerful gaming laptop design.
The Phoenix Point processing chip will come with the same number of CPU models as well, and for this series, it is likely to be used on thin, lightweight and even powerful class laptops, which can be seen on laptops focused on productivity and middle class gaming.
In the meantime, one advantage of this Phoenix Point processing chip is that it will also use the RDNA 3 graphics chip that will be introduced in the third quarter of this year as well, which will give this processing chip good gaming capabilities without the need for additional graphics cards.
The AMD Dragon Range and Phoenix Point series of processing chips are reportedly to be announced soon, and laptops that will use these processing chips are expected to be unveiled in early 2023.
