The popular conspiracy series in the 90s was The X-Files. The main character of this cult series believes the facts about unidentified flying objects (UFOs) are kept secret by the government. Various stories about the Roswell incident are still hotly debated with some witnesses sworn to see the alien whose body was kept by the government.
Interest in studying the UFO phenomenon is on the rise again in the world after the U.S. Navy confirmed video tapes of the incident of a mysterious object being picked up by a fighter plane were genuine. To date there is still no explanation of whether a flying object violates the laws of physics.
NASA has now officially set up a team studying the phenomenon of unidentified flying objects (UAP) - another name for UFOs - with the results of the study to be shared with the public. Data from previous incidents will be collected and recommendations on how new data will be processed will be made by this team. The opinions of aeronautical experts and scientists will be taken into account to find the real answer about UAP.
Additionally a team was set up to see if UAP might be a new branch of science and not something mysterious or paranormal. Is UAP a fact or just an illusion? From our own personal experience we saw it in the sky decades ago. To be sure it is not an ordinary airplane or a pod. As Fox Mulder said, the truth is out there.
