The Sabah state government has now launched the first electric bus service as public transport, and will test it for 6 months.
This electric bus will allow Sabahans to ride it for the journey between Sepanggar-Menara Kinabalu. Interestingly, this public transport will be offered free of charge for this pilot test period.
The electric bus can accommodate up to 54 people, and offers an eco -friendly ride.
Upon completion of this pilot test, Sabah is expected to introduce electric bus services as early as next year, with the introduction of between 5 to 20 electric buses at the initial stage.
