SKMM today gave approval to Celcom and Digi to continue the merger of the two companies into one. In line with this, several conditions have been set and agreed by Digi and Celcom.
One of them is related to the operations of the Yoodo company. As many are aware, Yoodo is a brand under Celcom.
MCMC requested for the Yoodo brand to be sold through a sales bidding process within 18 months after the completion of the Celcom and Digi merger process. If it fails to sell it, then Yoodo's operation will have to be terminated after 3 months of the first period.
If the Yoodo brand is terminated, then SKMM says Celcom and Digi cannot revive the brand in the future. Celcom and Digi also cannot absorb Yoodo customers.
