At the WWDC 2022 event, Apple has launched their new M-series chip Apple M2. It uses a 5nm design and has 18% higher processing power and 35% more GPU power than the Apple M1.
The Apple M1 has already proven to be among the most powerful and efficient chips and with the M2, it now has lower power consumption. The MacBook Air and MacBook Pro were also launched with this chip.
Latest in a report by 9to5Mac, Apple will continue to work with TSMC to produce their Apple Silicon chips. TSMC is also said to start production for the Apple M2 Pro with a 3nm build by the end of next year.
The Apple M2 Pro chip is said to be used on the Mac Mini, while it is also rumored that there will also be a variation of the M2 for the Mac Pro and iPad with a 3nm chip. Maybe this Apple Silicon M2 series chip will be used on more products.
Together we look forward.
