Use Spotify Supergrouper To Mix And Match Songs From Various Artists In One Playlist

Spotify has recently introduced many new features and functions that are exciting enough to enliven users' playlists. Last March, Spotify Blend was introduced to match users ’favorite music along with artist’s favorite music in one playlist.

Recently, they introduced Spotify Supergrouper which allows users to mix and match songs from other artists along with songs from favorite singers in one playlist.

What’s interesting about this feature is, Spotify provides a special website spotify.com/supergrouper to do mix and match of these songs. If on iOS, users need to connect a Spotify account via Safari, while on Android it will directly open the Spotify app.

Users then need to select three, four or five artists/groups, then select the main artist as The Lead, then select for The Lyricist and The Wildcard (if three). If there are four artists can be added for The Up-And-Corner and if there are five there is an additional The Producer. Spotify also provides various other special categories such as The Rockstar, The Trendsetter or even The Legend. Each of these artists can also be randomly selected via the Randomize button.

Upon completion, users are asked to choose a special name for this playlist through the phrases that Spotify provides-at least two phrases must be selected. Upon completion a special graphic will be provided along with a link to share to friends this generated playlist.

In my opinion, this is an interesting feature to have a playlist that is more exclusive and customized to each individual’s tastes. Although Spotify states that only users in the U.S., U.K., Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines can use this feature - in my tests with office mates it was no problem at all to use in Malaysia.
