IKEA as the world’s largest furniture store chain has a similar idea and is now launching the IKEA Kreativ feature in the IKEA app for iOS as well as the website.
IKEA Kreativ Scene Scanner technology scans your home space in three dimensions before then erasing currently used furniture using artificial intelligence. Next, the user can place the IKEA furniture from the given catalog into the home space that has been scanned using augmented reality (AR) technology.
IKEA Kreativ technology can realistically display IKEA furniture in a consumer's home. With this users no longer have to imagine how IKEA furniture will be at home in the future as it can be seen in the app. In addition, users can also create virtual designs using 50 templates that are also provided by IKEA if users do not want to scan a personal home space.
Currently IKEA Kreativ is only provided to users in the United States first and on iOS and websites only. There are plans to offer it to consumers in other countries in the near future.
