Xiaomi 12 Ultra leaks the iconic Leica logo

Xiaomi has released three phones that represent the Xiaomi 12 series. But there is still one phone that is eagerly awaited, namely the Xiaomi 12 Ultra whose form and specifications are slowly starting to be revealed.

This leaked form of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra comes from tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer aka OnLeaks via Zouton. As expected, this phone comes with a jumbo-sized camera module on the back.

This new render confirms an earlier leak which showed the Xiaomi 12 Ultra camera module which is round and centered with eight holes. Although inhabited by eight holes, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra seems to only carry four rear cameras.

Interestingly, in the corner of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra's rear camera module, you can find the red Leica logo. As is known, Xiaomi is indeed cooperating with Leica to work on camera technology in its latest flagship phone.

Previous rumors indicated that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will have the same triple camera as the Mi 11 Ultra. But looking at the four camera arrays in the render, it looks like the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be equipped with a second telephoto camera.

Zouton says the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will use a 50 MP main camera. While the periscope and ultra-wide cameras use a 48 MP sensor. On the front there is a 20 MP selfie camera placed in the punch hole in the middle of the screen, as quoted from GSM Arena, Tuesday (7/6/2022).

Xiaomi 12 Ultra is predicted to launch with a 6.6-inch AMOLED screen with curved sides. This screen will likely have a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels with a 20:9 ratio, 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR 10+ support. Most likely this phone will run the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset.

It is not yet known when the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be introduced to the public. In announcing its collaboration with Leica, Xiaomi said that the first phone from the collaboration between the two would be launched in July 2022. It is not impossible that we will see the debut of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra in a few weeks.
