Global Smartphone Market Grows 9% In Second Quarter 2022

Due to economic uncertainty, it is seen that smartphone marketing in the second quarter of 2022 has plummeted by 9%. It also shows a decline in demand, as well as at the same time in terms of supply.

Consumer spending patterns are also seen to have changed little, making existing devices used for longer periods, and not switching to new devices.

This is seen to make device manufacturers may come up with a number of promotions in reducing the existing stock or supply in the market, in addition to possibly delaying the production of new models.

In terms of brand, Samsung led the market with a 21%stake in the second quarter of 2022, followed by Apple with 17%, and Xiaomi with 14%. Oppo ranks 4th with 10% holding, while Vivo is 9% in fifth place. Overall, these five brands hold 71% of the smartphone market in the second quarter of 2022.
