Recently, a pregnant woman was allegedly sexually abused by an anesthesiologist during a cesarean section. Doctor Giovanni Quintella Bezerra (32) allegedly inserted his penis into the mouth of a pregnant woman who had been anesthetized at the da Mulher Hospital in São João de Meriti, Rio de Janeiro.
According to Brazilian media Globo, quoted by The Sun, hospital staff were suspicious about the amount of anesthetic Bezerra was giving his patients. Due to the use of so many drugs, mothers are unable to hold their babies after delivery. It is suspected that the number of victims was not only one, but two because there were two caesarean procedures on the same day.
Hospital staff installed hidden cameras to monitor Bezerra's work. The footage shows that Bezerra sexually abused his patient.
The patient, who is a pregnant woman, was seen lying in bed when the surgical team started the cesarean section. On the other side of the room, less than a meter away from his team-mates, Bezerra abused him for almost 10 minutes.
"Giovanni, still positioned towards the patient's neck and head, with his left arm bent, did a slow back and forth motion. From the movement and curvature of the arm, it seemed like he was holding the patient's head towards his pelvis," said a witness, quoted by the Daily Mail.
In a second operation on Sunday (10/7), an employee said Bezerra 'put a robe open on himself, widening his silhouette, and positioning himself in a way that also prevents anyone from looking at the patient from the neck up.'

One of the patients who underwent a C-section with Bezerra revealed that he was completely unconscious during the procedure.
"The only thing I remember from the surgery is his voice. He kept talking softly in my ear, it bothered me. He asked if I was okay," said one patient.
The Rio de Janeiro State Health Foundation and the Secretary of State for Health said an internal investigation would be conducted. The da Mulher Hospital team will also provide full support to the victims and their families.
"This behavior is a crime, which must be punished according to the applicable law," the foundation said.
Bezerra has just completed his medical training in anesthesia two months ago. For his actions, Bezerra faces rape charges with prison terms ranging from 8 to 15 years in Brazil.
