iPad Mini 6 users complain that they can't charge the battery

After iOS 15.5 seemed to cause some problems for a number of Apple devices, now it's iPadOS 15.5's turn to cause problems.

In iOS 15.5, a number of users have complained about issues with the Apple Books app. And now on iPadOS 15.5, iPad Mini 6 users are also complaining about significant issues.

The problem is that they can't charge their iPad after updating to iPadOS 15.5. This problem still occurs even if they change the adapter or cable used.

A number of users even had time to try to restore the operating system to the previous version of iPadOS. However, the fate remains the same, which is not being able to charge the battery, as quoted by us from 9to5Mac, Monday (11/7/2022).

Although it looks like a hardware problem, it is most likely a software problem. In an internal memo sent to its official repair center, Apple said that they were aware of complaints from users of the iPad Mini 6 not being able to charge the battery after iPadOS 15.5.

But unfortunately in the memo, Apple also mentions that replacing the internal battery cannot cure the problem. In other words, through the memo, Apple confirmed that this was a software problem.

It's unclear if this issue will be fixed in iPadOS 15.6 which is currently in beta stage, and is still being tested by developers. But for now, Apple is only asking employees at its authorized repair sites to advise users to reboot the iPad Mini if the problem occurs.
