Lately, Intel seems to be busy developing devices that use their own components under their NUC device series. If previously Intel was willing to sell NUC computers powered by the Alder Lake processing chip, they also appear to be developing new NUC computers based on the 13th-generation Raptor Lake processing chip.
Named the Raptor Canyon, the computer is seen to come with a larger design compared to most other NUC computers with a size of 13.9 liters that can hold not only processing chip components, memory and storage, but also a full-size graphics card without problems.
This is not a surprise because the Raptor Canyon is one of the computers under the name NUC Extreme that shows a desktop computer design that is more threatening than usual.
So far it is not yet known whether this NUC Raptor Canyon will arrive with Intel Arc Alchemist desktop graphics cards, but it will give users the option to load their own graphics card in it without so much trouble.
With the NUC Raptor Canyon, Intel will also introduce the Compute Element “Shrike Bay” component that houses the processing and memory chips in one board to facilitate component upgrades all at once.
Intel expects that this Raptor Canyon computer will launch in the fourth quarter of this year with several Intel Raptor Lake processing chip options.
