The European Space Agency is currently considering developing solar power stations in space, allowing them to produce clean energy and reduce the production of the greenhouse effect.
For now, the concept study has already been done, and if it receives permission from the committee members involved for funding, then its development may start around 2025.
According to the concept, it will use a satellite-like station, which will collect solar energy in the atmosphere, and then turn it into energy, and beam it back to earth in the form of microwaves. The waves captured on Earth will be converted into electricity for daily use.
With the use of a power station in space, it will not be protected by any clouds in the sky, and may not be affected by the time of day or night, and generate energy more efficiently.
In addition to Europe, China has previously shared more or less the same plan, and aims to start construction as early as 2028.
