iPadOS 16 Will Not Launch Simultaneously With iOS 16

Apple has introduced iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 for their iPhone and iPad last June. The new operating system comes with many interesting features and functions such as screen lock customization, extra security, hide photos, text-editable and retractable iMessage, FaceID in landscape mode, new health features and more.

After several months of testing and giving public users a beta test, the stable version for this operating system is expected to be launched next September. Apple today told TechCrunch that iPadOS 16 will not launch simultaneously with iOS 16.

iPadOS which is now a separate operating system for tablets will have its own update schedule unlike iOS for smartphones. Apple will also skip the iPadOS 16.0 version and will come with a stable version of iPadOS 16.1 for all users with developers today starting to be able to test it.

For iPhone users, next September, your iPhone will receive the iOS 16.0 update instead of 16.1.
