Japan Uses Robots to Stock Goods in Grocery Stores

Because many people do not like doing menial tasks, various companies and organizations have started to look at automation and the use of robots to replace repetitive tasks.

In Japan, a robot company has installed their equipment in more than 300 retail stores, in an effort to facilitate the sorting of stock on the shelves of retail stores.

This robot named RX SCARA, offered by Telexistence, can sort bottles and also canned water, at a rate of around 1000 units per day.

One of the leading convenience stores, Family Mart will also use this technology in their stores as a pilot test.

With a shortage of human labor, we may continue to see robots gradually replace a number of repetitive tasks, thereby reducing operating costs.
