Kiplepay Notifies Users Of Potential Hacked Services, Data Intrusion

 


Digital wallet provider Kiplepay is now notifying users via email, saying there is a potential that their service may have been hacked by a third party.


Kiple said they are aware of which Kiple Visa Prepaid Card may have been compromised, and that investigations and forensic studies are currently underway. Affected users have already started to be contacted and informed regarding this matter.


The Kiple Visa Prepaid Card was introduced in 2021, targeting students to use it in a cashless lifestyle. It is not known how many people were affected by this data leak.


For those who are not familiar with Kiplepay, it is a subsidiary of Green Packet, including powering the Selangor Wallet digital wallet.
