There are many choices of desks to use as a work desk. Among the ergonomic ones is a table whose height can be adjusted. But there aren't many desks that are easy to multi-task, unless the desk is wide and wide enough.
For something more unique, Lumina Desk has been launched. It's a desk with a 24-inch OLED screen built right in. But the OLED screen on the surface of the Lumina Desk is not for use as a monitor, but instead has its own operating system called Lumina OS which has many applications to use when working or doing other tasks.
Lumina OS comes with apps like Google Calendar, iMessage, Slack, Google News, Twitter, Spotify, clock, weather display, to-do list and more. In fact, Lumina also allows anyone to come up with their own application to be integrated on the table. Each of these applications will be displayed in the form of cards and use a grid layout like Windows 8.
The desk also has wireless charging support, includes multiple power plugs, and allows users to hide cables and wires from clutter. This table can also be adjusted in height manually or on a schedule. This makes it easier for various jobs to be done at different times according to the user's convenience.
The width of the table is 75cm x length 150 cm x height 75-150 cm. The screen on the desk uses an anti-fingerprint coating, supports a 60Hz refresh rate and a brightness of 1200 nits. The construction material of the table is made of aluminum 6063 and stainless steel, while the surface of the table uses anti-glare glass.
The desk includes 6x power plugs, 6x 30W USB-C ports, and has a 20-inch x 20-inch wireless charging pad that supports charging up to 100W. The desk also supports macOS and Windows, meaning the software to control Lumina OS is only available on these two operating systems.
For now, the sale price has not yet been announced as it is still in the development phase. But it is expected to sell at a premium. This desk in my opinion is the ideal desk for all technology enthusiasts, because it is all in one.
