OnePlus 10T Now Official – Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, 50MP Without Hasselblad And 150W SuperVOOC

After OnePlus Malaysia returned with the OnePlus Nord 2T and Nord CE 2 Lite smartphones along with OnePlus Buds Pro and OnePlus Nord Buds – now they are ready to continue launching new flagship devices. It's been a long time since OnePlus held a launch event for a flagship device and what's interesting this time is that the launch in Malaysia happened at the same time as the global launch.

The device launched today is the OnePlus 10T 5G, which is the new flagship device after the OnePlus 10 Pro. It's also OnePlus' flagship "T" device after a year's absence from the series, which was last seen in 2020's OnePlus 8T.

The OnePlus 10T comes with a 6.7-inch FHD+ 1,080 x 2,412 pixels, AMOLED, 120Hz screen with HDR10+ display support. This device is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM memory with up to 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.

The device uses a "crater" design format, where the rear glass panel of the device merges with the camera bump. It is a design with a burdenless philosophy that wants to offer a comfortable user experience in the user's hands. This device is also the first OnePlus flagship device that does not have the iconic Alert Slider button to control the device's ringtone from ringing to vibrating and to mute.

The device comes with a tri-camera configuration of 50MP Sony IMX766 f/1.8 + 8MP f/2.2 ultra wide angle + 2MP f/2.4 macro and a 32MP f/2.5 selfie camera. OnePlus also did not include Hasselblad technology on this device because it wanted to focus on performance rather than photography, just like previous T-series OnePlus devices. Even so, OnePlus still includes some of their own camera features such as Image Clarity Engine (ICE), OnePlus HDR 5.0 and TurboRAW.

The OnePlus 10T will run the Oxygen OS 12.1 operating system built on Android 12. The Oxygen OS on the OnePlus 10T also has its own unique features and performance enhancements, namely the HyperBoost Gaming Engine and AI System Booster. Updates for the device are 3 years of operating system and 4 years of security patches.

On this device, OnePlus also uses a new cooling system which they claim is one of the largest ever used on their device. They used a cryo-velocity vapor chamber system with eight exhaust channels on a 3D structure.

OnePlus also remains using a stereo speaker audio system, using Bluetooth 5.2, USB-C 2.0 connection support and for security unlocking the device is with an optical under-screen fingerprint scanner. For 5G and WiFi mobile data connections, the device uses a 360-degree antenna.

For the battery, the device is equipped with a 4,800mAh dual-cell battery with 150W SuperVOOC Endurance Edition charging support, which they guarantee can charge the device from 1%-100% in just 19 minutes. To ensure that the device's battery remains healthy and problem-free, OnePlus also includes a Battery Health Engine feature to increase battery life. OnePlus also has a Smart Battery Health Algorithm and Battery Healing Technology system to ensure that the device can be charged quickly without problems and the device can be used while charging.

The OnePlus 10T 5G in Malaysia will be available in a Jade Green color option with a soft texture that takes inspiration from ceramics and jade stones and a Moonstone Black color known for its sandstone-like texture.

The sales price of OnePlus 10T will be announced next August 18 with sales starting September 1. In the United States, the device sells for $649 (~RM2890) for 8/128 GB and $749 (~RM3336) for 16/256 GB .
