Netflix entered the video game arena by first offering it on Android and iOS devices since November last year. The reason given is that their competitors are mobile games on smartphones rather than other streaming platforms.
But according to data from Apptopia, only 1.7 million of Netflix's 221 million subscribers access the Netflix Games feature every day. This is just 1% of Netflix's total subscribers. The app has only been downloaded 23.3 million times with 1.7 million daily users recorded.
There are 24 titles in the Netflix Games catalog so far. In the early stages the first ones that use their intellectual property like Stranger Things are offered to customers. They also bought their own video game studio to develop more titles themed around their content.
