The official Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 comes with a design that is not much different from the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Although the design is the same, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 brings several significant improvements. Anything?
Design and screen
At first glance, the size and appearance of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 has not changed much when compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 3. The difference is that the Galaxy Z Fold is slightly thinner with a thickness of 6.3 mm when stretched and weighs 263 grams lighter.
The size of the main screen and front screen of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is still the same as its predecessor. The main screen uses a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel measuring 7.6 inches with QuadHD + resolution. The screen brightness level is increased to 1,000 nits.
While the front screen also uses a 2X Dynamic AMOLED panel with a diagonal of 6.2 inches. Thanks to its thinner bezels, the front screen of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 comes with a new, wider aspect ratio.
Chipset
The biggest improvement brought by the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is of course the innards. This folding screen phone carries the latest flagship chipset from Qualcomm, namely Snapdragon 8 Gen + 1.
This new chipset will certainly bring a significant performance increase when compared to the Snapdragon 888 chipset used by the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
The kitchen runway Galaxy Z Fold 4 is combined with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM. In addition, for the first time Samsung has presented the Galaxy Z Fold 4 with up to 1TB of internal memory.
The performance of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is supported by a 4,400 mAh battery with 25W fast charging, still the same as its predecessor. But Samsung increased its wireless charging capabilities from 10W to 15W.
Camera
In addition to the new chipset, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 also brings significant upgrades in the photography sector. The main rear camera now uses a 50 MP sensor, the same as the one used on the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus.
The increase is certainly quite good compared to the 12 MP camera on the Galaxy Z Fold 3. The 50 MP main camera on the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is also accompanied by a 12 MP ultrawide camera and a 10 MP telephoto camera that can take photos with 3x optical zoom.
The front camera on the outside and inside of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is still the same as its predecessor, which is 10 MP for the front camera on the second screen and a 4 MP camera on the main screen which returns to using the under-screen camera (UDC) technology.
