Samsung will hold a launch event for their foldable screen device soon. Among the devices that will be launched are Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and Flip4. Along with it is their new Wear OS smartwatch, the Galaxy Watch5 series.
With the launch date fast approaching, teaser images and some key specifications of the watch have leaked onto the web.
This model will come in two sizes, namely 40mm and 44mm. It will come with a 284mAh and also a 410mAh battery. The battery for these two hours is said to last up to 50 hours with 10W fast charging support. The screen sizes are 1.19-inches and 1.36-inches of AMOLED panels and these watches will be powered by the same Samsung Exynos W920 processing chip used in the previous watches. The screen is also said to use sapphire glass protection.
The size of this watch is 45mm with a 590mAh battery that is guaranteed to last up to 80 hours. It will also support fast charging which is said to be able to reach 45% in 30 minutes. The Galaxy Watch5 Pro will come with a 1.36-inch AMOLED screen with sapphire glass. The chip also remains the same Exynos W920 as the previous watch. The body of the Pro version is said to use titanium construction material.
All new Samsung watches will continue to support NFC for Samsung Pay, have GPS and depending on the model there will also be variations with eSIM support. In the images for all watches, it is clear to see the use of a new sensor that is said to be possible to detect the user's body temperature on the side of the sensor for ECG, blood oxygen level and pulse scan.
The source also revealed the selling price of these watches. The 40mm Galaxy Watch5 will be sold at a price of €299 (~RM1363), the 44mm at a price of €329 (~RM1500) and for the 45mm Pro version at a price of €469 (~RM2139).
