Samsung Reportedly Cuts Device Production at Vietnam Factory Due to Falling Device Demand

Some data from market analysts show device sales in China, India, the United States and Europe fell in the last quarter. This is due to the impact of the troubled economy as well as the pandemic that has not yet ended. Recently Reuters reported that Samsung has reduced the production of their devices at a factory located in Vietnam.

Inside sources say production is being lowered due to declining demand for the device globally. The factory in Vietnam is one of Samsung's largest, producing up to 100 million devices a year.

Previously it was reported that Samsung has an inventory dump of 50 million smartphones that have yet to be sold. This is a problem faced not only by Samsung but also by other manufacturers. In China, for example, sales of devices dropped by up to 20% due to the Zero Covid measure that caused the entire city to be quarantined, causing business to be severely affected.
