#TakNakScam Awareness Campaign Continues This Year With Three New Initiatives

Meta Malaysia continues the implementation of the #TakNakScam campaign this year following the positive impact received through the campaign in 2021. Several government agencies, industry and consumer associations welcomed this campaign. In fact, hope to be able to help the public to be more careful to avoid getting involved with the threat of cyber crime.

This year's campaign focuses on 5 online fraud methods which include e-commerce fraud, illegal moneylending, employment fraud, investment fraud and money donkeys. At the same time, it will also continue to urge the public to be vigilant through three simple steps: identify, check and report.

Through this campaign as well, there are three new initiatives that have been introduced in stages including:

The 'We Think Digital' fraud prevention module which is Meta's flagship digital literacy program aims to increase public education related to fraudulent activities. Available in Malay and English, it provides useful tips and tricks that will make it easier for people to get relevant information.

Immersive public education through various content formats in an effort to attract more public participation. For example, like Instagram AR Filters for a more immersive learning experience.

Balancing education between users and sellers, where Meta adds a focus towards educating sellers on how to protect users and experiences on their respective platforms.

Throughout the campaign, various educational materials and related methods will be shared through all the channels of the campaign's main partners. For more information, the public can visit Meta Malaysia's official Facebook page.
