ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold OLED Tablet Launch Event Will Be Held On August 31

Earlier this year, ASUS showed a large number of notebook series developed for productivity and gaming purposes that come in various shapes and sizes. After a long wait, ASUS has finally unveiled a laptop with their foldable display, the ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold OLED.

This Zenbook 17 Fold OLED tablet is a commercial version of their Project Precog concept tablet which is a test project to see if ASUS is able to develop a foldable tablet or not.

At full size, this tablet comes with a 17.3-inch OLED display with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1920 pixels and can display 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut with a 90Hz refresh rate and comes with HDR 500 support.

In terms of internal specifications, ASUS is expected to use an Intel Alder Lake-H processing chip with 16GB of LPDDR5 memory and 1TB of storage. Unfortunately in terms of I/O offerings, this ZenBook 17 Fold OLED only comes with one Thunderbolt 4 plug which is also used as a charging plug and a 3.5mm audio plug.

The display of this tablet can be folded and placed vertically, giving users a 12.5-inch panel with Full HD resolution. This tablet also comes with a Bluetooth keyboard that can also be placed on the "bottom" of the folded tablet if you are more used to using a physical keyboard than a virtual one.

Recently, ASUS has confirmed that they will officially introduce this foldable tablet through a streaming event on August 31. It is expected that this ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold OLED will enter the local market as well soon after.
