AWS this year is seen to be more active in the local market by increasing cooperation with local brands.
After being reported to be committed to investing in Malaysia, including targeting the improvement of local talent and workforce, AWS recently announced their selection as a cloud service provider for Bank Islam in making their Digital Bank application – Be U a success.
Through this understanding, AWS provides all their technology, even this banking solution meets the required sharia compliance. Using AWS services, such as Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Services, Bank Islam can develop digital banking products more quickly in line with user needs.
In developing digital banking, there is a need for more workforce who are knowledgeable about digital technology, therefore more than 4,000 Bank Islam employees will receive training related to AWS, to complete the entire digital transformation of Bank Islam.
Apart from Bank Islam, among the big local brands and companies that also use AWS include Astro, Maxis, Petronas, Storehub and also the Ministry of Higher Education.
