WhatsApp is a messaging service owned by Meta. It is quite popular among the masses and is arguably the default messaging platform used by all.
Despite being criticized for privacy issues, WhatsApp never stops coming up with new features to protect their users and keep users loyal.
Recently, WhatsApp has come up with three new privacy features that people will surely use.
First is active status control online. Users can now set who can and cannot see online status. This feature can be used if a user does not want to be disturbed and just wants time alone or to focus on work.
The second is blocking the ability to take screenshots on the View Once feature. This means that whenever you send an image to anyone in view-once mode, the recipient cannot take a screenshot and the media file will automatically be deleted.
Last but not least is the feature of leaving a WhatsApp Group silently. No more notifications will be displayed in chat rooms telling a user that they have logged out. Notifications will only be given to WhatsApp Group administrators.
This feature will be distributed in a single WhatsApp update for Android and iOS users. Check for new updates through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store through your respective device.
