Samsung has now announced that it has started beta testing for One UI 9 based on Android 17, making Samsung one of the first to offer testing of the operating system based on Android 17. It is offered to Galaxy S26 users in several countries. Samsung also confirmed that this beta test will not be offered to users in Malaysia.
Through One UI 9, Samsung offers several updates in addition to the brand new Android 17 operating system, including the introduction of creative features in Samsung Notes, easier creation of profile cards through the Contacts application, more control through the Quick Panel, as well as protection from various threats and malicious applications.
Samsung is offering this OneUI 9 beta test in Germany, India, Korea, UK, US and Poland only, limited to Galaxy S26 users only. If you are in the country in question, you can apply to join it through Samsung Members.
