The Honor Robot Phone was shown at MWC 2026 with an interesting concept that initially many thought it was likely just a concept device that would not be possible to bring to life.
That impression turned out to be wrong when Honor publicly displayed it and now confirmed that it will be launched in Q3 2026. This means that the launch could take place between July and September, while previously it was only stated that it would arrive before the end of 2026.
This device will receive a camera upgrade as a result of collaboration with ARRI, a famous professional camera brand. ARRI technology will promise recording quality equivalent to professional cameras with key features including a 200MP camera with a built-in gimbal, support for “Complex, Stabilized Tracking Shots” recording and the integration of ARRI Image Science directly into the camera experience.
Honor also brought the Robot Phone to the Cannes Film Festival, where visitors had the opportunity to try the device out for themselves in a more open manner. Compared to previous CES and MWC events, devices were only displayed behind minimal glass, making the hands-on experience even more limited.
