Today, Xiaomi has launched their new set of true wireless earphones, the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro. It is their flagship TWS for this year that will compete with TWS like Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro 2.
Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro is seen with a brand new design, where it uses an earphone design with a shorter stem. The overall shape still looks more or less the same, but it has a more premium design. On the charging pod, the cover is seen to be larger up to about halfway up the front.
The finish is also kind of glossy like the Huawei FreeBuds Pro. For this Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro, it still includes active noise cancellation support which can now reach 48db. In addition, spatial audio support is also maintained for more immersive audio. This TWS also supports 360-degree audio quality and uses an 11mm audio driver with Hi-Res Audio Wireless.
A connection with a low latency of up to 59ms is offered, the ANC system is also the smart type that can determine when it should be activated and when it will be adjusted to a high level. As for the battery, this TWS will last up to 36 hours. For protection, Xiaomi is seen using IP54 for dust and water splash resistance.
For the first time, Xiaomi introduced a special application, the Xiaomi Headphones App, to be used to control the Buds 4 Pro. Until now, TWS and their audio accessories could only be controlled with MIUI-based devices.
The selling price is RMB 999 which is around RM659 only. It is a flagship TWS at an affordable price compared to competitors. For now sales are only for the Chinese market and it is not sure whether it will penetrate the global market or not.
