Adobe Is Developing a Serious Camera App With the Help of Former Google Pixel Chief

Sony and Samsung are two smart device manufacturers that offer dedicated camera apps for serious photography enthusiasts. The Pro Camera and Expert RAW apps offer more detailed manual camera control without the help of artificial intelligence systems. Unfortunately it is specific to certain devices only. According to a CNET report, Adobe is developing a camera app specifically for professionals.

More positive about this unnamed project is that it was developed by Marc Levoy who is the former head of Google Pixel camera development. After leaving Google he joined Adobe as vice president. He is also responsible for popularizing the term computational photography which uses artificial intelligence to improve the quality of captured images.

The development is still in the early stages so the full details that will be present on the Adobe application are still unknown. Nevertheless it is certainly expected because Adobe is known for their photography applications and Levoy is a legend who managed to position the Pixel as a good camera device despite using inferior hardware.
