Some of the rumors heard about the second generation AirPods Pro before is that Apple Music lossless audio support will finally be supported. But after the new AirPods Pro were launched this morning, the TWS specs confirmed this was not the case.
The new Apple H2 chip used is still not able to offer audio streaming at the best quality of Apple Music on AirPods Pro 2 despite officially supporting Bluetooth 5.3. This is definitely disappointing because so far only HomePod and HomePods Mini support it.
On the Android platform, Qualcomm aptX Lossless was announced last year. Lossless audio can soon be enjoyed on devices and audio accessories that use Qualcomm chips. Also confirmed is a new charging pod with a lanyard hole and a built-in speaker that still uses the Lightning charging port. With Apple still refusing to offer the iPhone 14 with a USB-C port this result was expected but still disappointing.
