At the Apple Far Out event this morning, Apple unveiled four new iPhone models as previously predicted. Although there are four, but one model has been turned off. We first look at the two lower iPhones, namely the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus. At first glance it looks similar, but what is Apple offering this time?
First of all is the screen, the iPhone 14 uses a 6.1″ OLED screen while the iPhone 14 Plus has a 6.7″ size that supports Super Retina XDR. As before, Apple continues their square design. The front and back are flat, the series is also flat, the whole is still the same, even ProMotion support is not included. However Apple now offers five color options.
The screen continues to use the notch design, with the Face ID system still usable to unlock the device. Both iPhones also still run on the same chip from last year, the Apple A15 Bionic chip. The only advantage of this new iPhone is that the GPU used is five times faster.
The dual-camera configuration on the back is also still the same, namely two 12-megapixel sensors. Sensor-Shift support is maintained, the new one is the Photonic Engine for nighttime photos, night mode and better quality selfie camera with twice as fast post-processing. The selfie camera is also the same 12 – Megapixel. Several new video recording modes are also provided such as an additional stabilization mode.
iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus also support the emergency call feature directly via satellite. While the model in the United States will only focus on eSIM support models. For safety, like the Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch Ultra, the iPhone 14 can also notify emergency services if there is a vehicle accident.
