The Hasselblad X2D 100C digital camera was launched today with a giant 100MP medium format sensor and a 5-axis in-body image stabilization system (IBIS). The sensor is also capable of taking pictures with 16-bit color. It does not end there, the PDAF focusing system used has 294 points to ensure that the subject taken can be focused quickly.
The 0.5″ OLED viewfinder has 5.76 million dots to ensure images look sharp before the camera shutter is pressed. A 3.6" LCD screen on the back is of the touch type allowing the camera settings to be easily changed by the operator.
This mirrorless camera can take photos in JPEG or 3FR RAW format using 1TB internal storage or a CFExpress Type B memory card. There is no video recording capability on the X2D. The battery used can take 420 pictures before needing to be charged. Recharging is via USB-C port with 30W output.
The selling price of the Hasselblad X2D 100C is $8199 (~RM36,097) without a lens. Three new lenses were also launched for this camera, namely the XCD 38mm F2.5 priced at $3,699 (~RM 16,651), the XCD 55mm F2.5 priced at $3,699 (~RM 16,651) and the XCD 90mm F2.5 priced at $4,299 (~RM19,351).
