In addition to the Huawei Mate 50 and Mate 50 Pro, the Huawei Mate 50 RS was also launched today with it being the most premium flagship model on offer. Like the Mate 50 and Mate 50 Pro, the Mate 50 RS is also capable of making satellite calls when there is no cellular network with its uniqueness lying in the body made of ceramic like the previous RS model.
Huawei Mate 50 RS is a Mate 50 Pro with a more premium body design. Makaia shares a 6.74″ OLED FHD+ 120Hz screen, Snapdragon 8+ 4G chip, 8GB RAM memory, up to 512GB storage and a 4700 mAh battery that supports 66W wired fast charging, as well as 50W wireless. No reverse wireless charging support is included on models designed in collaboration with Porsche Design.
The main camera also uses the XMAGE system but the main sensors are 50MP wide-angle, 13MP ultra-wide-angle, and 64MP telephoto. The 50MP sensor comes with a variable aperture system f/1.4 to f/4.0. Meanwhile, the telephoto system can do 3.5X optical zoom and up to 100X digital zoom.
The 13MP front camera is paired with a 3D facial scanning system placed on a large notch. The device also comes with a metal finish and also vegan leather on the back. Both of these flagship devices use the latest HarmonyOS 3.0 operating system and have IP68 waterproof capability.
