WiFi 6E is not yet widely used but it's next technology WiFi 7 has already been announced and it promises faster internet. Last weekend Intel and Broadcom did their WiFi 7 demo with download speeds reaching 5Gbps.
This is up to five times faster than WiFi 6. In addition to faster speeds, WiFi 7 will also reduce latency and allow it to be used by VR devices and even more interestingly stream video at 16K UHD resolution which is not possible now. Intel also said the ecosystem for WiFi 7 already exists but the technology will only be widely introduced in 2024.
