The Intel Arc Alchemist series of graphics cards often show lag problems due to various issues that plague its production. However, Intel has now confirmed that one of those graphics cards, the Intel Arc A770 will be launched soon.
Intel Arc A770 is a mid-range graphics card that is expected to compete with graphics cards such as NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 and AMD RX 6600XT. It comes with 32 Xe core specifications and has an option for 8GB or 16GB of GDDR6 memory depending on the selected model.
Graphics card developers can apparently choose to develop these two models for users who need a model with more or less memory depending on their capabilities.
Unfortunately this graphics card does not come with support for HDMI 2.1, but a DisplayPort 2.0 to HDMI 2.1 adapter can be used to support displays with higher resolutions and refresh rates.
More importantly, this Intel Arc A770 graphics card needs to be matched with a computer that has a Resizable BAR (Base Address Register) function to enable the entire memory of this graphics card to be sent directly to the CPU to improve the gaming performance of a computer.
For now, this Resizable BAR function can be shown on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3000 graphics cards and 10th generation Intel and AMD Ryzen 5000 processing chips. For Intel Arc A770, Resizable BAR support is mandatory because the performance of this graphics card will collapse if the CPU is not can support the technology.
Although it will be launched in the near future, Intel has not yet confirmed when this graphics card will go on sale, nor the price tag.
