NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4000 Graphics Cards Officially Launched – Starting With RTX 4090 And RTX 4080

At the ongoing GeForce Beyond event, as expected NVIDIA has introduced their latest graphics card series, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4000 "Ada Lovelace" where Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA showed two new graphics card models.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 are two of the graphics cards shown, and both of these graphics cards come with 2-4 times more powerful performance compared to the previous GeForce RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 Ti graphics card models.

The Ada Lovelace graphics chip was developed together with TSMC where they used a special 4N (4nm) process to develop the graphics processing chip. In addition to the ability to process and process graphics that are much more powerful, these latest graphics cards also come with the third generation RT core that introduces the ability to process Ray-tracing graphics at a more efficient rate.

The RTX 4000 graphics card series features Shader Execution Reordering which rearranges the graphics pixels evenly to speed up the Ray-tracing lighting processing process. This speeds up the production of graphics frames which directly helps in increasing the frame rate of games played, even at high resolutions.

Speaking of high resolution, NVIDIA also introduced DLSS 3.0, which processes high-resolution frames from low-resolution frame output with high graphics settings. The advantage of DLSS 3.0 is that these frames can be produced without having to go through the graphics processing process.

The combination of Shader Execution Rendering and also DLSS 3.0 is seen to promise graphic performance in games that take advantage of high resolution, high refresh rate with high settings without any problems.

From the video shown during the Beyond event, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 is seen to be able to run several games such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Microsoft Flight Simulator at resolutions and high refresh rates using SER and also DLSS 3.0.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 will be sold in the global market at a price of $1699 (~RM7744) starting this October 12.

For the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080, this graphics card will come with two memory options, 16GB GDDR6X and also 12GB GDDR6X. The model with more expensive memory will be sold at a price of $1199 (~RM5465) while the model with lower memory will be sold at a price of $899 (~RM4100) starting this November.
