Spotify HiFi Plan May Be Launching Soon – Around RM90 A Month?

We have heard that Spotify wants to come with a wireless audio streaming offering since 2017. Later in 2021, they confirmed the name of this plan is Spotify HiFi, and some iOS users started seeing the HiFi icon on their Spotify accounts. The launch of Spotify's lossless audio plan was later reported to be delayed to 2022 and changed to an as yet unknown date.

Now finally, this Spotify HiFi plan has arrived. 9to5Mac reported that some users want to stop their Spotify subscription after 10 years of subscribing to it to change to Apple Music, but are invited to return to Spotify after 30 days by listing some new subscription plans namely Platinum.

This Platinum plan is seen to cost $19.99 per month for individuals which is around RM94.25. Here is what this plan offers;

HiFi

Studio Sound

Headphone Tuner

Audio Insights

Library Pro

Playlist Pro

Limited-ad Spotify podcasts

This plan not only offers high-quality audio, but also includes the function of tuning headphones, features Studio-level audio, offers information about audio, has Pro audio playlists and libraries, and podcasts with limited ads. When compared to Apple Music which is only RM14.90 or Tidal HiFi Plus which is more experienced in high quality audio at the price of RM29.80 – this Spotify offering is quite expensive.

But after all this time, maybe this is for loyal Spotify customers? Will you subscribe to it if it is offered in Malaysia later?
