More bad news for free YouTube users. In addition to the growing number of ads, YouTube is also now seen testing a feature that limits streaming at 4K resolution to Premium users only.
The screenshot above was shared by user u/Ihatessmokealarms on Reddit. It clearly shows the 4K streaming option is only accessible to Premium subscribers. This action may not be popular but it's something YouTube is doing more and more often. Previously the video download feature was also limited to Premium customers whereas before it was given to all.
