Meta today added search capabilities to WhatsApp Business – allowing users to search for local businesses near them.
For now, this new feature is being introduced in Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico, the UK and even Colombia. Users can search by category – thus discovering new shops, as well as supporting various local shopkeepers.
Along with this, Meta is testing the convenience of direct payment through WhatsApp by linking a debit or credit card. This payment feature is currently being tested in Brazil only.
