Sony has now shared a document involving comments for a competition case stemming from Microsoft's takeover of Activision. Through it, Sony shared a number of things, including the target of the next generation of consoles.
Sony says that if the takeover goes through, there is a possibility that a number of games under Microsoft will be pulled from PlayStation by 2027, and Sony says that it may affect the migration of users to their new console later.
This gives an idea of which Sony's next generation console may be present as early as 2027 or 2028 later.
Sony has previously introduced the PlayStation 5 in 2020, and if the next generation console comes in 2027, then it shows a 7-year period for the console's offering – about the same as the PlayStation 4 which has a market period of around 7 years before the new generation is introduced, although it still supported today.
