FBI Director Claims TikTok Threatens US Security

There are various opinions about the dangers of social media to society if its use is not controlled. This applies to all platforms that do not have a native moderation system. But the director of the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Chris Wray was quoted as claiming that Tiktok endangers the security of the United States.

According to him, user data in "will be taken by China" and at the same time TikTok does not "share the same values with the United States". TikTok content also claimed Wray could be used to manipulate users. This is the same accusation made by the United States when under the administration of Donald Trump that caused TikTok's business in the United States to be almost sold by Bytedance.

There is no evidence of US TikTok user data being stolen by China. To ensure security, TikTok agreed to move its US user data storage to a system offered by Oracle domestically.

Meanwhile, in Malaysia, this application is also the talk of the town because it is a platform for the dissemination of provocative elements that are not removed quickly and are found to be paid for by certain parties. After meeting with SKMM representatives, TikTok said they are now committed to censoring provocative content in Malaysia.
