CIMB today informed that starting 5 December 2022, all transactions through CIMB Clicks over RM100 will require verification using SecureTAC.
With this move, users will no longer receive TAC SMS for transaction confirmation over RM100, and will need to confirm using SecureTAC which is seen as more secure than SMS.
CIMB also informed that they will implement the full use of SecureTAC, including for transactions under RM100 as early as the first half of 2023.
This move is also seen to be in line with Bank Negara Malaysia's previous instructions.
