Meta, the company behind Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, is now seen considering developing alternatives and replacements for Twitter.
Through internal discussions, several ideas were discussed, including developing a new feature called Instagram Notes that allows users to share short messages to their followers.
In addition, the idea of developing a text-focused application using Instagram technology was also highlighted - including naming a specific section on Instagram, called Realtime, Real Reels or Instant.
These ideas are being discussed internally, as Twitter is seen to be facing a crisis under Elon Musk, and many are looking at alternatives such as Mastodon and Tumblr.
Some startup ideas have just come up recently, in attracting users who want to leave the Twitter platform.
For now, Meta is seen to be discussing the idea internally, and it is unknown whether it will officially introduce it or not.
