The Redmi Note 12 series was officially introduced last October with several different variants. This includes the Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ and Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition. Each of them highlights different attractive offers to make it in line with the current target users.
The latest Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition has been announced in China as a new addition to the series. In terms of design, it uses the same elements as some devices under the previous Redmi Note 12 series. The internal hardware however has been updated with different offerings.
It is a 5G phone powered by a Snapdragon 778G chip loaded in a body with a 6.67-inch OLED screen with FHD+ resolution. Also included is 120Hz refresh rate support, HDR10+ certification and a brightness level of up to 900 nits which gives added value for use in various situations.
Stereo speakers and side fingerprint scanning system are also loaded on it. Then, the camera setup consists of 108MP (Samsung HM2) + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 2MP (macro), in addition to the 16MP selfie camera. A 5000mAh battery is used which also supports a 67W fast charging system.
For the price, Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition is sold at RMB1699 (~RM1079) (6GB/128GB), RMB1799 (~RM1142) (8GB/256GB) and RMB1999 (~RM1270) (12GB/256GB). There is no information on its availability outside of the Chinese market, or it may be rebranded as another name for some markets.
