Samsung Galaxy Watch Blood Pressure Tracking Application Receives Approval In Malaysia

The Samsung Galaxy Watch5 comes with a built-in blood pressure and ECG feature. But until now both features have not been activated for users in Malaysia. But according to a LowYat.net report, the blood pressure tracking application for the Galaxy Watch has received approval for use in Malaysia by the Ministry of Health.

The application received approval for use in mid-November last with it being listed on the Malaysian Medical Devices Authority website. For now it is not known when Samsung Malaysia will announce this feature can be used by local users. It may be done in the near future because the Huawei Watch D with blood pressure detection feature will also be launched in Malaysia this week.

A little disappointing is that on the Malaysian Medical Device Authority website there is no approval feature to use the ECG feature on the Galaxy Watch. Galaxy Watch users have been waiting for this feature to be activated for several years. So far only the Apple Watch can perform ECG readings in Malaysia.
